Rob's Biography

Rob Chandler's love of rusty metal began in Malta, where he polished his skills among some of the Mediterranean's most striking wrecks. Today, he's a technical diver who spends most weekends in the cold British murk, and he wouldn't have it any other way.

Rob is the founder of the UK Diving Squad, a community where divers of all skill levels and agencies can find like-minded others to share amazing experiences. The Squad keeps divers in the water all year round, with regular events showcasing the best of our home waters alongside trips overseas.

By day, Rob is a product design engineer, and that curiosity follows him underwater. He wants to know how every piece of kit works, why it's set up the way it is, and what could make it better. After all, the right kit can be the difference between a dive you endure and one you enjoy.

Out of the water, he swaps his regs for ropes, heading up into the mountains to climb or deep beneath them to cave. Above ground, underground or underwater, his kit takes a beating in some very cool places.
